The golden beads woven into Sheriff Dubouis’ braided black hair contrast sharply with his dark black skin and crisply, pressed uniform. His golden smile seems as much a part of his uniform as the badge he wears. The Sheriff has a liking for pretty women almost as strong as his dislike for criminals.

People will tell you that Sheriff Dubouis is a snake, that if he crosses your path you should make the ’sign’, and “…don’t lend him no money ’cause his memory is short just like ‘im.”

Sheriff Dubouis is aware of the game and looks out for those with an interest in maintaining the status quo. Those he favors can expect the law to look the other way a bit. Whether he is an active player or an interested bystander remains unknown.
